Fall Pumpkin + Brown Sugar Body Scrub DIY Recipe
Some fall scents feel warm, sweet, and almost too good to leave in the jar.
Pumpkin + Brown Sugar is creamy, rich, and softly sweet. Pumpkin gives it that smooth autumn warmth. Brown sugar adds a deeper caramel-like sweetness that makes the whole scent feel cozy without needing a lot of spice.
That is the mood behind Pumpkin + Brown Sugar.
This DIY body scrub is for anyone who loves sweet fall body-care scents and a good sugar scrub. It is made for rough areas, fall shower routines, and those days when you want your body care to feel a little richer as the season changes.

Use a Pumpkin + Brown Sugar fragrance made for cosmetic skin use.
Make sure the fragrance is suitable for rinse-off body products.
Do not use candle fragrance oil.
Do not use diffuser oil.
Do not use pumpkin purée.
Do not use canned pumpkin or pumpkin pie filling.

Do not add milk, honey, aloe vera, water, or other water-based ingredients.
Do not add cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, pumpkin pie spice, or other kitchen spices.
Keep your bowl, spoon, measuring tools, and jar clean and completely dry.
Keep water out of the finished scrub during use.
Use clean, dry hands or a clean cosmetic scoop when removing scrub from the jar.
Do not use on your face, intimate areas, broken skin, irritated skin, sunburned skin, or freshly shaved skin.
Be careful when rinsing because oils can make the shower or tub floor slippery.
Instructions
Start with a clean, dry workspace and clean tools.
Make sure your jar is clean and completely dry.
Add 3/4 cup light brown sugar to your mixing bowl.
Measure the brown sugar loosely instead of packing it tightly into the measuring cup.
Use the back of your spoon to break apart any large clumps.
Add 2 tablespoons fractionated coconut oil.
Add 1 tablespoon sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, or sunflower oil.
Stir slowly until the oils are evenly worked through the brown sugar.
Keep mixing until there are no dry pockets left in the bowl.
Add 1/4 teaspoon vitamin E oil.
Stir again until fully blended.
Add 1/2 teaspoon Pumpkin + Brown Sugar cosmetic fragrance blend.
Mix thoroughly so the fragrance is distributed throughout the entire scrub.
Check the texture.
The scrub should feel thick, soft, and scoopable — similar to damp brown sugar.
If the scrub feels too dry, add another teaspoon of carrier oil and mix again.
If the scrub looks too oily, add another tablespoon of brown sugar and mix again.
Spoon the finished scrub into your clean, dry jar.
Gently level the top without packing the sugar down too tightly.
Wipe the rim clean.
Add the lid.
Label it Fall Pumpkin + Brown Sugar Body Scrub and add the date you made it.
How to Use It
Use Pumpkin + Brown Sugar Body Scrub on damp skin.
Scoop out a small amount with clean, dry hands or a clean cosmetic scoop.
Massage gently over the body using small circular motions.
Use on legs, elbows, knees, ankles, feet, and other rough or dry areas.
Let the sugar do the exfoliating — there is no need to scrub hard.
Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Gently pat your skin dry.
Start with once a week and see how your skin responds.
Avoid using immediately after shaving.
Do not use on broken, irritated, or sunburned skin.
Be careful when stepping out of the shower or tub because the oils can make the surface slippery.
Parlor Scent Lab Notes
Pumpkin + Brown Sugar should smell warm, creamy, sweet, and rich.
Pumpkin gives the scrub its smooth autumn warmth.
Brown sugar adds a deeper, caramel-like sweetness.
Together, the scent should feel cozy and distinctly fall without becoming heavily spicy.
This scent should not smell sharp.
It should not smell heavily perfumed.
It should not smell like pumpkin pie spice.
It should feel warm, sweet, smooth, and softly rich.
Brown sugar gives the scrub its exfoliating texture and naturally warm caramel color.
Fractionated coconut oil helps the scrub spread easily over damp skin.
Sweet almond, jojoba, or sunflower oil adds extra slip and softness.
Vitamin E helps slow oil oxidation but is not a preservative.
Keep the finished scrub its natural brown-sugar color.
There is no need to add orange coloring just to make it look like fall.
Do not add pumpkin purée, pumpkin powder, dried botanicals, kitchen spices, milk, honey, vanilla extract, or other food ingredients.
If the scrub develops an unusual smell, color, visible growth, or another concerning change, throw it away and make a fresh batch.
Storage and Safety
Store your body scrub in a cool, dry place.
Keep the jar tightly closed between uses.
Keep water out of the jar.
Do not store an open jar where shower water can splash directly into it.
Use clean, dry hands or a clean cosmetic scoop.
Patch test before using a new fragranced body product more broadly.
Avoid using on broken skin, irritated skin, sunburned skin, freshly shaved skin, or intimate areas.
Keep away from eyes and mouth.
Stop using the scrub if irritation, redness, burning, itching, or sensitivity occurs.
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Be careful of slippery shower and bathtub surfaces after use.
If the scrub smells strange, changes color, develops visible growth, or looks contaminated, discard it.
Scent Strength
This recipe starts with:
1/2 teaspoon Pumpkin + Brown Sugar cosmetic fragrance blend
Pumpkin + Brown Sugar should smell warm, creamy, sweet, and noticeable without overpowering the scrub.
Do not automatically add more fragrance because you want a stronger scent.
Check the current rinse-off body-product usage guidance supplied with the exact fragrance you are using before increasing the amount.
One Last Soft Scoop
Pumpkin + Brown Sugar Body Scrub is warm, sweet, and softly rich.
It is brown sugar over damp skin, creamy pumpkin coming through as you rinse, that warm caramel-like sweetness in the air, and a fresh fall scrub that leaves skin feeling smooth and cared for.
A small scoop, a soft scrub, and there she is.
