Vanilla + Amber Body Oil DIY Recipe
There is something about Vanilla + Amber that just feels like fall.
Vanilla brings a soft, creamy sweetness, while amber gives it warmth, depth, and that smooth, lingering finish that sits beautifully on the skin. Together, they feel cozy without being too sweet, rich without being heavy, and just a little dressed up.
That is the mood behind Vanilla + Amber.
This easy DIY body oil is made for slow showers, cooler evenings, soft pajamas, and those first fall days when your skin starts wanting a little more moisture. It leaves the skin feeling smooth and silky with a warm scent that stays close instead of taking over the room.
And this one is easy. No melting, whipping, or fancy equipment. If you can measure, pour, and stir, you can make it.

Instructions
Make sure your bowl, spoon, funnel, and bottle are clean and completely dry.
Pour 1/4 cup Fractionated Coconut Oil into your mixing bowl.
Add 2 tablespoons Jojoba Oil.
Add 1 tablespoon + 2 teaspoons Sunflower Oil.
Add 1/8 teaspoon Vitamin E Oil.
Stir the oils together until everything is nicely blended.
Add 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla + Amber Fragrance Oil.
Stir slowly for about 30 seconds so the fragrance is evenly mixed throughout the oil.
Place your funnel into the 4 oz bottle and carefully pour in the body oil.
Close the bottle, wipe it clean, and label it Vanilla + Amber Body Oil with the date you made it.
That is it. No heat, no waiting for anything to melt, and no complicated steps.
You can use the body oil right away, or let the closed bottle sit overnight and enjoy it the next day.
How to Use It
Vanilla + Amber Body Oil is especially nice after a warm shower when your skin is still slightly damp.
Pour a small amount into your palm, rub your hands together, and massage it over your arms, legs, shoulders, elbows, knees, and anywhere else that could use a little extra softness.
Start with a small amount. Body oil spreads farther than you think, and you can always add another drop or two.
Give it a minute to settle into the skin before getting dressed, especially if you are wearing something delicate.
This is also a beautiful oil for fragrance layering. Apply your body oil first, let it settle, and then add your perfume. Vanilla + Amber works especially well underneath soft musk, sandalwood, warm woods, creamy florals, tonka, and gentle fall spices.
Parlor Scent Lab Notes
Vanilla + Amber should feel warm, smooth, creamy, and softly sweet.
The vanilla brings the cozy part. The amber keeps it from becoming too sugary and gives the scent a deeper, more polished finish.
We are not going for vanilla cake.
We are not going for frosting.
And we are definitely not trying to smell like the candle aisle.
This should smell like warm skin, a soft sweater, and a little vanilla lingering after a long shower.
The oils play their part too. Fractionated coconut oil keeps the blend light and easy to spread. Jojoba gives it that silky skin feel, while sunflower oil adds a little extra richness for fall. The small amount of Vitamin E helps support the oils and rounds out this very simple blend.
And because somebody is going to be tempted — leave the cinnamon sticks, vanilla beans, dried orange slices, flowers, and other cute fall decorations outside the bottle.
They can sit next to it for the picture.
They do not need to move in.
Storage + Safety
Keep your Vanilla + Amber Body Oil in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the bottle tightly closed, and try not to get water inside it.
Always patch test a new scented body product before using it all over. Avoid broken or irritated skin, and stop using the oil if you notice irritation or discomfort.
Most importantly, make sure the Vanilla + Amber fragrance oil you choose is intended for leave-on skin products and follow the usage directions from the supplier.
One Last Golden Drop
Vanilla + Amber Body Oil is warm, creamy, and made for fall. It is smooth skin after a warm shower, soft vanilla in the air, golden amber on the vanity, cozy sweaters nearby, and that silky body-oil feeling that makes cooler days feel a little more comforting.
A few drops, a soft massage, and there she is.

Vanilla + Amber Body Oil FAQs
Can I use regular coconut oil instead of fractionated coconut oil?
Fractionated coconut oil works best because it stays liquid. Regular coconut oil can become solid when the temperature drops.
Can I leave out the Vitamin E oil?
Yes. The recipe will still work without it, but Vitamin E helps support the oils and keep them fresh longer.
Can I use vanilla extract from the kitchen?
No. Use a Vanilla + Amber fragrance oil that is made for leave-on skin and body products.
When is the best time to use body oil?
Right after a shower is perfect. Apply it while your skin is still slightly damp to help leave it feeling soft and smooth.
